A young man building the life of his dreams attempts to “fix” the wrecked, aimless version of himself that appears in his mirror, but his alternate has other plans.
CONCEPT
There’s a crisis of men. A crisis of identity, purpose, and role in society. Some are pushing through, but many lay on a couch in their “mom’s basement,” blaming the world for their misfortune, feeling entitled to what they can’t have, seeking instant gratification without perseverant grinding.
This movie explores and exposes how this phenomenon is a manifestation of a basic human truth: our worst enemy is within! It’s a battle between two selves: one chooses the way of responsibility and hard work, but the other embraces a mindset of victimhood and envy.
It’s like Cain and Abel within the same person. But even choosing the better worldview still presents the challenge of constant growth; without that, sooner or later, the wicked side shows up to sabotage.

This young man is going places! After a traumatic event almost drowned him in self-pity, he picked himself up to chase the success he craves and conquer the woman he loves. Son of an immigrant mother and a disappointing father, he can’t stand the idea of being a loser; so when his alternate appears, he tries to fix him to prove his own worth. Deep down, he fears to lose everything he’s built.

This young man is doing the minimum to get by. After a traumatic event drowned him in self-pity, he can’t decide what to do with his life nor conquer the heart of the woman he likes. Son of an immigrant mother and a disappointing father, he isolates and numbs himself to subdue his agony. Meeting his successful counterpart ignites a new hope and passion, but the road to success seems impossible.

Motivated dreamer. Small business owner.
A lively Southern woman whose energetic persona and contagious laughter lights up any room. Coming from a working class home, she dreams of and hustles hard for a better tomorrow with her own coffee shop. Aside from her relationship with Colby, she’s the same person in both worlds; and she’s more than a symbol for the life he wants. Selina has a choice and a strength neither man expects, and she’s anything but smiles when someone gets on her bad side.
In one world, she finds her equal in Colby, an ambitious man with whom she can build an ideal future. With his help, she’s been able to push her business further, and will fail to believe there’s a rotten version of him.
In the other world, after one date she realized Colby would only drag her down, so to discourage him she treats him with indifference. Though she wishes things were different, her head reigns over her feelings.
The two versions of Colby spar for the life they both want. Can that life even survive this fight?
